Arboga kommun sets the rules for its bookings. Folke provides the service. You, the booker, follow the rules.

About the service

Arboga kommun uses this service for booking venues, facilities and activities. It runs on the Folke platform, provided by Folke Tech AB.

A time shown as available is not a guarantee. Bookings are always subject to the rules and decisions of Arboga kommun.

Acceptance of terms

These terms apply when you create an account or make a booking. When you book, you also confirm the rules of conduct and booking terms of Arboga kommun and the cancellation terms shown for the booking before you confirm it.

If you book on behalf of an association or organisation, you are responsible for being authorised to represent it.

How bookings work

  • Some bookings are requests that Arboga kommun must approve. See “Requests and binding bookings” below.
  • Some bookings require, for example, a certain age, membership, a certain login level or that other booking conditions are met. The service checks some of the requirements automatically. If the requirements are not met, the booking can be refused or cannot be completed.
  • Arboga kommun may have its own rules that supplement these terms, for example on cancellation, age limits, membership requirements, rules of conduct, special fees and local safety rules. They are shown to you before you confirm the booking.
  • Arboga kommun may need to change or cancel a confirmed booking for operational reasons. You will then be notified through the service. If a paid booking is cancelled, it is refunded under “Cancellation and refunds”.

Requests and binding bookings

  • Booking request – you have submitted a request that Arboga kommun has not yet considered. It is not binding.
  • Approved request – Arboga kommun has approved the request. The booking is then binding.
  • Confirmed booking – a booking that is confirmed immediately when you book. It is binding from the confirmation.

A booking request is not binding until it has been approved by Arboga kommun. You are told in the service when the request has been approved or declined.

If you pay by card when you submit a request, the amount is charged immediately. If the request is declined, the full amount paid is refunded.

An invoice is issued only once the request has been approved.

When a direct booking has been confirmed, or a request has been approved, the booking becomes binding and the cancellation terms shown at the time of booking apply.

Payment

Price and any fees are set by Arboga kommun and shown before you confirm the booking. VAT is shown in the price information where it is charged. You can pay as follows:

  • Card – the payment is taken when you book and handled by the payment service provider Stripe or another payment service provider named at payment.
  • Invoice – Arboga kommun sends an invoice. Payment terms are stated on the invoice.

If you do not complete a card payment within the payment time, the time slot is released automatically.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation terms are set by Arboga kommun and shown for each booking before you confirm it, and in your booking confirmation. The terms in force when you booked apply to that booking.

  • You cancel yourself under My bookings for as long as cancellation is open.
  • Refunds are made to the payment method you used, for the amount the cancellation terms specify. If you paid by invoice, Arboga kommun handles the cancellation on the invoice under the terms.
  • If Arboga kommun cancels a booking you paid for by card, the full amount is refunded. If you paid by invoice, Arboga kommun handles this on the invoice.

Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal when you buy at a distance, under the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (2005:59). There are statutory exceptions, including for leisure activities to be provided on a specific date or within a specific period. Which exception applies is stated in the booking terms where relevant.

The right of withdrawal is not the same as cancellation. You can cancel under the cancellation terms Arboga kommun has set for the booking.

Your responsibility as a user

  • Provide correct and complete information.
  • Follow the rules for the venue or activity you book.
  • Keep your login details to yourself and tell us if you suspect someone else has used your account.
  • Do not book speculatively, create fake accounts, or try to circumvent or disrupt the service.

If you breach these terms, Arboga kommun may restrict or close your access to the service when the circumstances justify it and to the extent the law allows.

The organisation's role

Arboga kommun is who you book with, and decides and is responsible for:

  • Which times and venues can be booked
  • Whether a request is approved or declined
  • Requirements on bookers and rules for the venue
  • Prices, fees and cancellation terms
  • Reporting, e.g. for LOK support

The platform and liability

Folke Tech AB provides the platform but is not a party to the booking between you and Arboga kommun. Arboga kommun sets the booking rules and what can be booked, and is responsible for its decisions about bookings and for the venue. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law, and your rights as a consumer are not affected.
